My God or Your God

We often say...
I believe in my Religion but I respect other's too.
The truth is, if you truly believe in your Religion, then you can't respect other's. Every religion is contradictory in nature, even the most similar ones.

How can a Christian respect a Muslim, when they refute Jesus to be Son of God?
How can a Muslim respect a Hindu, when idol worship is strictly banned in Islam?
How can a Buddhist respect a Muslim, when killing of an animal is prohibited in Buddhism?

The base of formation of all the religions were to contradict the existing religion. Though many may suggest co-existence but they won't say that the other religion is equally good and it makes no difference if you follow any.

The greatest fallacy of believers is that they follow a particular religion because they have a sense of pride in following it. They believe their Religion to be Superior and Better and that's the particular reason that they are stuck to it. The ones who find others to be better, convert themselves and become a follower of the Better religion.

So, in short you are follower of the Best Religion. This sense of pride in one's religion is the source of ridicule for other religion and then ultimately Hate.
